State of Michigan laws require all Licensed Builders and Maintenance & Alterations Contractors to possess a current Michigan Residential Code (MRC) Book.  As of March 9, 2011, The 2009 MRC is the current code by which all licensed Michigan Contractors must operate.  A current copy of the book can be purchased at the Home Builders Association Office, through the State of Michigan or through the International Code Council..
