The Home Builders Association awards scholarships on an annual basis to support education in the Home Building Industry. Applications are available beginning in February and awarded at the HBAGTA General Membership Meeting held in May. The scholarships and the criteria necessary to qualify for them are listed below :

NORTHWESTERN MICHIGAN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP: $1503.00 Available

• Must be Resident of One of Five (5) Counties: Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Leelanau or Kalkaska.
• Minimum (Cumulative) Grade Point Average Must be at least 2.5 on a 4-point Scale. (Must Provide Copy of Current Transcript / Grade Report / Certificate of Completion)
• Must attend Northwestern Michigan College or an NMC Program during 2013-2014 Academic Year.
• Demonstrated Community Involvement, Leadership and / or Service.
• Applicants are encouraged to submit a letter of reference  / recommendation as a supplement to your application - preferably written by an active member of the Home Builders Association of the Grand Traverse Area.

HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION OF THE GT AREA SCHOLARSHIP: $1329.00 Available

• Field of Study MUST be related to Home Building Industry.
• Must be Resident of One of Five (5) Counties: Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Leelanau or Kalkaska.
• Minimum (Cumulative) Grade Point Average Must be at least 2.5 on a 4-point Scale. (Must Provide Copy of Current Transcript / Grade Report)
  
• Available to attend College of one's choice during 2013-2014 Academic Year.
• Demonstrated Community Involvement, Leadership and / or Service.
• Applicants are encouraged to submit a letter of reference  / recommendation as a supplement to your application - preferably written by an active member of the Home Builders Association of the Grand Traverse Area.
