Membership Meetings

General Membership Meetings provide members with an opportunity to get up to speed with what is happening at the HBA of the Grand Traverse Area, discuss industry related information, garner new ideas and reconnect with colleagues.  Plus, we have a lot of fun!

Meetings take place 8 times per year and hosted by an HBAGTA member at their business location or location of choice.

HOST A GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Host Provides:

  • Meeting venue - usually the host's place of business
  • Heavy or plentiful appetizers and beverages (beer, wine, and non-alcoholic) for up to 100 guests during the event
  • Supply at least one door prize valued at a minimum of $100 and two lesser-valued door prizes
  • Registration area inside the entrance of the venue, including 2 chairs
  • Sufficient open space for a gathering of the members present and a presentation by HBA leadership
  • Space for up to five HBA vendor members tabletop displays if required.  Tables to be supplied by HBA vendor member.

Includes:

  • Recognition in HBAGTA emails, website, and the Tuesday Toolbox
  • Introduction of the company representative during the event welcome speech
  • Business cards of attendees collected during the event

SPONSOR A GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Sponsor Provides:

  • $600 sponsorship fee
  • Supply at least one door prize valued at a minimum of $100 and two lesser-valued door prizes

Includes:

  • HBAGTA securing & paying for venue
  • HBAGTA providing heavy or plentiful appetizers for up to 100 guests during the event
  • Recognition in HBAGTA emails, website, and the Tuesday Toolbox
  • Introduction of the company representative during the event welcome speech
  • Business cards of attendees collected during the event

General Membership Meeting Tabletop Display

Promote your company with a tabletop display at a general membership meeting!  You will be introduced during the HBA announcements where you will be given 1-2 minutes mic time.  Make the most of your display by having a prize drawing.  Collect names in a hat from people visiting your table and draw a winner during the evening drawings for even more exposure!  Although optional it is recommended to have a prize drawing at the end of the event for a prize valued of at least $50.  You will need to keep your display confined to your 6' table and you will be responsible for supplying your own table.  If you do not have a table, let the HBA know and we will assist you in securing one.​
